Foundation Leveling

Foundation Leveling Experts

When a foundation has a considerable break, leveling is at times the only solution that you’re going to have to be able to salvage the structure on top of it. Now, this doesn’t mean that every single time that we recommend leveling as the procedure to help a foundation it’s because there’s a massive issue that we’re dealing with. We’re going to be recommending procedures based on what we found through our inspections. You can rest assured that any recommendation that we make has your best interest in mind. If you really think about it, we’re also putting our reputation on the line with the recommendations that we make and the projects that we ultimately undertake.

Signs That You May Need To Consider Foundation Leveling

Sinking floors are usually the biggest sign that we see that’s going to lead to a foundation leveling procedure. There’s a simple reason behind this. Essentially if the floors are sinking it’s because the structure that the home is sitting on is doing exactly the same thing. There are other reasons why floors may be sinking. Especially if the current floor was laid over an existing structure that’s actually now between the floor we see and the foundation. It's still a clear sign that something’s up.

How Long Does This Procedure Take?

Most of the repairs that we handle, even the major ones, are going to take us a couple of days to complete. Unless we’re talking about a major situation where we need to pretty much restructure everything, 2 or 3 days is a good time frame. As we’ve said with other procedures though the duration of the project is something that varies on a per case basis. When we inspect your foundation and agree that a repair needs to be made we can give you a sense of how long we’re going to take at that point.

Are All Homes Salvageable?

We like to think that most are. Especially if we’re talking about a home or building that was still serviceable. In our experience the lost causes that we’ve come across happen to be buildings that have been abandoned. A lot of those times they were actually abandoned because of the foundation issues that were present. If you’re currently still living in the home and you don’t see that it’s completely falling apart there’s a good chance that the house is still salvageable. Situations That Are Not So Severe Where Leveling Is Still A Good Option

There are going to be situations that are hopefully not as severe to the point where the whole house is breaking apart where leveling could still be the best option. Most of these instances take place when we address those sinking floors early. We won’t allow the foundation to continue to sink and cause greater damages to the structure on top of it. Because the foundation has begun to sink though we could still opt for leveling as the repair procedure. If we recommend that you allow us to level your foundation that doesn’t mean that you should panic.
